Spatial memory digitalization

This project’s point is representing my subjective cityscape of Budapest. This look basicly built on personal experiences and childehood memories. I 3D-scanned my importanat places and made them an integral whole space, what can be gone round in a subjective view.

The photographed objects contain several incorrection and errors because of the used technique’s immatureness. At the same time exactly these incompletions lighten the fragmentation of recollections’s process. The details of the formerly important places fade and instead of them an unfinished, rough surface remain.

Gameboy Panorama Machine

This photo series was made by a Gameboy Camera. This device had been the smallest digital camera on the world for a while. The camera resolution is 128×112 pixels, that is 0,014 megapixel. The pictures are black and white (it has only 4 bit grayscale resolution). The memory of the gameboy camera can store up to 30 pictures.

In this project I was concerned by how can the low resolution of the this camera represents images, and what would happen if the 30 recorded pictures are combined?

Therefore I built an automated panorama stand for gameboy camera. I programmed this device to shoot 30 pictures one after the other (this is the all available memory space).The panoramas are consists of 3 rows, in each row there are 10 individual pictures. The name of this series is 0,43 megapixel, because a combined panorama is 430080 pixels.
